Universal Serial Bus is designed to allow many different peripherals to be connected to a computer, these include joysticks, USB memory keys, printers, external hard drives, mouse, keyboards, PDAs, didgital cameras and game pads.
USB supports three data rates from a low speed of (1.1, 2.0) rate of 1.5 Mbit/s up to a high speed (2.0) rate of 480 Mbit/s (60 MB/s).
